Great control and flowJul 07, 2007

Got this for washing the car and it really lives up to all the good reviews on the site. The metal parts are sturdy and thoroughly armored by black rubber all around. The problem with most hardware store nozzles is that they always deliver a lower flow of water than just the uncapped hose itself. The Bon-Aire on it's lowest pressure setting mimics the high-flow/low-pressure delivery of an open hose and is great for getting 'sheeting' of the water to occur when rinsing the car after a wash which means less spotting. The spray is continuously adjustable up to a high-pressure stream (very strong) by rotating the collar and you don't have to hold the nozzle in place to maintain the setting -- unlike conventional spring-loaded nozzles. The only thing that takes getting used to is that you have to rotate the collar all the way left or right to shut off the flow, so you won't have the "instant off" action of a normal nozzle if you're working with a setting somewhere in the middle of the range. A perfectly fine trade-off for me given the other great features.

Now Made in CHINAJul 06, 2009

I have had the aluminum and the stainless steel version of this nozzle. They all have leaked after one seasons use. The company sent free repair ("O" ring) kits which did not stop the leaking. They then sent free replacement nozzles for a five dollar shipping fee. The new nozzles are made in China now and are only guaranteed for ONE year. It probably costs the company two bucks apiece to have them made in China and two bucks to ship them so they are netting a buck for the replacements on the shipping fee.I threw all these pieces of junk away, not worth the aggravation.Good luck!

My breakproof nozzle brokeJun 21, 2005
By Gary from Chicago I've owned this nozzle for a year now under normal home use and was very satisfied with it until the large plastic (fiberglass?) valve fractured and came off inside the aluminum housing. It's got a "lifetime warranty", but a "return to sender"mailing address. After this experience and expense, a brass nozzle from Ace hardware will once again serve me just fine. Buyer beware!

Nozzle Fizzle: A year later it doesn't workApr 18, 2009

We loved our Ultimate Hose Nozzle when we got it last season. Fantastic and easy to use. Unfortunately, now this spring we went to use it and all that we get is a pathetic dribble. It's back to the good old generic hose nozzle for me. They may not be as cool, but they work for longer than a year and they are a lot cheaper.

After 3 months Bon-Aire housing blew the inner seal. Now junk!Aug 20, 2009

Maybe what one person said about the Bon-Aire being manufactured in China is true. Bought in April 2009 and the housing blew after a short time of use and really no way to get inside and fix it. The allen adjustment doesn't help. Now the water comes out 2 places and it's just a good soaker nozzle now. As it's a water waster maybe they will have a Cash For Clunkers nozzle program someday?
Update 12/10/11
A lot of people read these so I'll further explain my opinion of the product. I agree, Amazon is great! The problem is with a product like this, Amazon has little recourse on the seller after the warranty expires. This nozzle works fine for the first few months in daily use and might last a year or more in light use. The problem is that the inner o-rings are not compatible with the water in some areas. I'd stick to a simple brass nozzle that's available on Amazon as well.
